PROCESS

Our design process begins with a deep understanding of functionality and aesthetics. We start by sketching and conceptualizing ideas, ensuring that each piece embodies our commitment to sustainability. Once a design is finalized, we create digital models using advanced CAD software.

Next, we utilize state-of-the-art 3D printing technology to bring our creations to life. This method allows us to minimize waste by producing only what is necessary, resulting in a more sustainable production cycle. We carefully select eco-friendly materials, ensuring that every product not only looks good but also respects the environment.

Each piece then undergoes a meticulous hand-finishing process, where we refine and enhance its quality. The result is a collection of unique, functional art pieces that seamlessly blend innovation, craftsmanship, and sustainability.

MATERIALS

At Bohobo, our designs are meticulously crafted from sustainable materials, with a focus on PLA filaments. PLA is a 100% bio-based polymer derived from renewable resources such as corn starch, sugar cane, or beets. This eco-friendly material is non-toxic, making it a responsible choice for both consumers and the environment.

We source our PLA filaments from trusted suppliers who mix them with natural by-products like mussel shells, oysters, scallops, and wheat offcuts. These materials are naturally colored through the recycling of waste recovered from short circuits in various sectors, including agriculture and catering. This process not only reduces waste but also gives our products unique textures and appearances.

In addition to PLA, we also incorporate recycled plastics into our 3D printing process. By using materials that have been diverted from landfills and repurposed, we contribute to a circular economy while maintaining the quality and durability of our products.

By selecting these innovative materials, we aim to demonstrate that sustainability and high-quality design can coexist. Each piece we create reflects our commitment to crafting functional art with a minimal environmental footprint, inspiring conscious choices that contribute to a healthier planet.
